Our Guide To Warm Winter Wellies

Our exclusive NEOPRENE shell construction is 100% waterproof, breathable and self-insulating. The NEOPRENE bootie material acts as a "neutral medium" between inside and outside temperatures. Naturally lightweight, and very comfortable, the material keeps the foot and lower leg warm and protected in cold and wet conditions.

Making full use of the human body’s ability to generate heat and the insulating properties of NEOPRENE ensure a comfortable, warm experience. However, we all feel the cold differently and varying activity levels will affect how we feel. Watching the kids play sport on a freezing February morning or stood at a riverbank for hours on end fishing, you will feel colder than a 5 mile walk with an excitable Labrador.

Our extensive product range has varying thicknesses of neoprene – from 4mm in our Derwent II and Hale boots though our standard 5mm products such as our Unisex Arctic Sport and Women’s Arctic Sport II, up to the 8mm bootie featured on our Arctic Ice collection.

Built for high performance in cold weather, our Vibram® collection features Vibram’s advanced cold weather gripping system to deliver traction on wet ice while the Vibram® IceTrek full base layer provides grip on dry ice.

Any of our boots featuring “Arctic” in their name also have an additional fleecy lining for extra comfort and warmth. Cold usually permeates the feet from the ground up and by encapsulating the foot fully in neoprene, making use of insulating layers in the sole and all our boots having an anti-microbial insole, we also ensure your feet are well insulated from freezing, wet ground.
